Mobile medical examination of Tyup villagers reveal many cases of parasitic infection

AKIPRESS.COM - A mobile medical service is conducting a medical examination of villagers over the age of 50 in Tyup district of Issyk-Kul region.

Many cases of parasitic diseases are being registered, said coordinator of the mobile group Azat Kustebaev. 17 medical workers are providing the services expected to last two weeks.

"We conduct free medical examinations of people over the age of 50 from mountainous areas with very harsh conditions. The aim is preventing various diseases. We work in the village of San Tash. The mobile service has ultrasound, X-ray machines, patients are examined by a general practitioner, a cardiologist, a neurologist. People were also tested for various diseases and diagnosed. So far, most of the diseases detected are parasites transmitted from livestock," he said.
